Beautiful Blooms

In the mist of endless rain and dull days, our Head Designer, Helen, was bringing some much needed floral joy to the Studio when designing our latest Collection! After many years of non-stop neutrals, recent interior trends predict we will see a celebration of colour, with “Digital Lavender” predicted to be 2023 colour of the year. "It’s a sensorial shade that connects to holistic wellbeing and optimism," states Gemma Riberti, WGSN's head of interiors. Evoking a sense of serenity and escapism, this soft hazy shade has the ability to be paired beautifully with greens, whites and pinks and served as the inspiration behind our Spring 2023 Collection.

As we step into spring, we love to echo the changes in nature with our interiors and Preserved flowers are an easy and sustainable way to bring the beauty of the outside in. Our new Amaya Letterbox Bouquet boasts all the pretty springtime blooms with delicate, dreamy primroses, catkins, fluffy pampas and pastel lavender paper daises. Arrange in your favourite vase to bring an etherial touch of spring to your interiors.

Alternatively, adorn your walls with our new Gaia Wreath Kit - The perfect creative activity, our kits contain everything you need to create a stunning everlasting wreath with preserved foliage, pampas, pretty florals and paper daisies. Experimenting with these beautiful pops of colour and spring like pastel tones will both elevate your space and help you embrace the joyful and vibrant energy of the season.

Home Retreats

With our homes continuing to be a constant hybrid of working and living post pandemic, busy schedules and daily stressors mean we rarely ever switch off. So how do we find calm amongst the chaos of everyday life? By Curating the perfect restorative spaces in your own home to enjoy every day of the Week! “We are seeing a clear shift to designing homes that people don’t want or need a vacation from, with more intention being put into the meaning of home.” - New York Design Centre. Tapping into the Wellness and comfortcore trend, we are big fans of revamping our indoor and outdoor spaces and investing in quality items to evoke the emotions of our favourite holiday spot - Think plush cushions, luxurious bedding (you deserve it!) and ambient lighting. “We'll see calm and restorative spaces that use beautiful natural materials and textures” says Sarah O'Sullivan from John Lewis. Whether its transforming your Bathroom into an at Home Spa retreat ‘Continuing the trend of wanting a wellness retreat at home, the shower will be elevated to its rightful place as a relaxing ritual,’ says Pinterest's Matt Siberry, or something as simple as creating a cosy reading nook, perfect for lazy weekends and beyond - Designing a space unique to your own needs to encourage restoration is a must for self care and wellness.

Lighter Layers.

As well as Spring Cleaning our Homes (who else has been putting this off!?) we love to switch out heavier fabrics like wool and cashmere in favour of lighter fabrics such as cotton and linens to reflect the shifting seasons. Thick heavy throws are replaced with lighter textiles for a fresh, airy feel. As we transition into warmer weather swapping your winter duvet for a lower tog is a must for balmy nights, we also love switching out thick curtains for linen for a breezy, relaxed feel. If you really want to make an impact to your space, switch out your heavy pile rug for one with natural fibres to instantly shift the vibe of your space from cozy to fresh. Spring is also the perfect time to bring the outside in, in the form of natural materials such as seagrass, jute and woods for a rustic yet refined charm to your interiors.

Playful Accents.

One of the biggest trends to emerge in homeware this year is fun spotted details, curves and irregular shapes. “As we reconnect with a world that felt closed to us last year, we’re making bolder colour choices, and embracing more patterns. Mix styles if it makes you happy, and find joy in the unexpected.” Holly Walsh, Ideal Home. We are seeing this trend everywhere from textiles, ceramics, and lamps making it easy to incorporate into your Spring Decor. Here Helen has styled our new Amaya Bouquet next to the gorgeous Iris Yellow Spot Glass Vase by Oliver Bonas for a zesty pop of fun bright colour, which contrasts beautifully against the minimal white fluted vase by Archive Studio. Moving away from rich, deep winter shades to lighter brighter hues is an easy but impactful way to bring new life to your space.

Scent the Season.

One of the best ways to welcome a new season into your home is to set the scene with scent! The world comes alive in Spring and something as simple as a fresh scented candle can bring a greener and livelier vibe to your interiors while we wait for the warm weather to arrive. Some of our personal favourites are Neoms Grapefruit, Mandarin & Eucalyptus Scented Candle - “A complex blend of the purest possible, precious essential oils, including fresh and zesty grapefruit, enlivening mandarin and clean eucalyptus. Fill the room with the scent of throwing open the windows on the brightest, sunniest day and drink in the optimism, energy and motivation”. Another favourite is The White Company’s Spring Candle & Room spray - evoking the fresh and fragrant scent of a beautiful Spring day with sweet notes of Honeysuckle, Jasmine and Rose combined with the earthy scent of freshly cut grass.
Alternatively, if natural scents are more your Vibe, our ‘Le Printemps’ letterbox Bouquet is the perfect floral addition to your interiors this Spring. Enjoy the calming and fragrant lavender & eucalyptus with the added benefits of mood boosting blooms and verdant greenery!
